WE ARE DA - ALLGREEN SEEDS LTD

Da – Allgreen Seeds Ltd (DAGS) is a limited liability company involved in the production, processing and marketing of quality planting materials and industrial raw materials. We understand that improved yields and productivity is key to attain food security for our great nation. Da – Allgreen was founded in the year 2005 and was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria on the 17^th October, 2006 with registration number RC 670074, the company is also a registered member of Seed Entrepreneurs Association of Nigeria (SEEDAN) and the African Seed Trade Association (AFSTA).

Da – Allgreen from inception operated as a special company handling production of seed (varieties) of a special grain identified as raw materials for industrial purposes or export under a different name as a result of partnership ; in 2005 the need to stand alone became obvious, hence the birth of the new company. Our key technical staff have been in the seed sector in Nigeria since 1997, DAGS over the years has been committed to making improvements in all aspects of seed productions to enable farmers have great produce from our good quality seeds.

The corporate philosophy of DAGS is embedded in Trust, Quality and Commitment which has created a unique learning platform for our staff, out growers and also carved out niches for itself in the highly competitive market of improved agricultural planting products in Nigeria. Presently Da – Allgreen has diversified and metamorphosed into a company undertaking multifaceted agricultural activities and functions. The company has gradually transformed itself into a world class player involved in the production, processing and marketing of quality planting materials i.e. seeds, seedlings, vines, cuttings and also the production of fresh vegetables and herbs.

DA - ALLGREEN SEEDS LTD TIMELINE

2005

Da Allgreen Seeds Limited Founded

Da - Allgreen Seeds Limited was founded and began operations as a special producer of seeds of raw material crops.

2006

USAID Sorghum Value Chain

DAGS was engaged in the Sorghum Value Chain organized by USAID linking DAGS with Aba Malting Plant.

2007

USADF Sorghum Seeds and Grains

DAGS was engaged in a project with USADF for the up scaling of Sorghum seeds and grains to farmers (5 years project).

2008

Production of Sorghum Grains

DAGS attained 6000 farmers in various co-operative groups to produce 3000MT per annum of sorghum grains.

2009

AGRA's Production of Rice, Maize and Sesame Seeds

DAGS was engaged in a project with AGRA for the production of rice, maize and sesame seeds for farmers (2 years project).

2010

Completed AGRA Project

DAGS successfully concluded the AGRAs production of seeds for farmers project.

2012

Completed the USADF Project

DAGS procured and imported state of the art processing machine from China with 5 tons / hour seeds and grains processing. DAGS also acquired its permanent site and commenced preliminary site development.

2013

Constructed Administrative Block and Drip Irrigation

DAGS completed its Administrative block, restructured warehouse 1 and acquisition of drip irrigation facilities.
